01

We are a matching service, not a lender

The website operates a free loan request and matching service and is not a lender, so it does not make credit decisions, set rates or terms, issue loans or collect payments.

When you submit the request form, your information is shared with lenders and lending partners in our network that may be able to offer you a personal loan from $500 to $5,000. Each lender reviews your request on its own and decides whether to make an offer. Any loan agreement is between you and that lender alone. Submitting a request does not mean you will be approved, matched or offered any particular amount, rate or term.

02

How the service is compensated

Lenders and partners in our network pay us when they receive a request or when a loan they make is funded, and that compensation is how we keep the request form free for borrowers.

Payments are set by agreement with each lender and may differ from one lender to another. We do not receive any part of the interest you pay, and we do not charge you for using the form, comparing offers or contacting our support team. If a lender charges an origination fee or any other fee, that fee belongs to the lender and must appear in its disclosures before you sign.

03

How compensation can affect which lenders you see

Compensation can influence which lenders receive your request and the order in which offers appear, but it never changes the APR, fees or repayment terms a lender decides to give you.

Our network does not include every lender in the market, and other lenders may offer better terms than any shown to you. We encourage you to compare at least one offer from outside our network, such as your bank or credit union, before you accept a loan. Guides on this site, including the lender comparison, are written independently of lender payments, and no lender reviews or approves our editorial content.

04

How rates and examples are presented

Rate ranges and payment figures on this site are estimates, and the representative example is a $2,000 loan over 12 months at 24.99% APR, about $190.08 a month and $2,280.96 in total.

Typical APRs offered by lenders in personal loan markets range from about 5.99% to 35.99%, with terms of roughly 3 to 36 months for amounts in our range. Your actual APR depends on your credit, income, debt, loan amount, term and state, and some lenders may charge rates outside that range where state law allows. Always rely on the lender's Truth in Lending disclosure, which shows the APR, finance charge, amount financed and total of payments. See the rates guide for more detail.

05

State availability and other limits

Lender participation, loan amounts and terms vary by state, and some states may have few or no lenders available through our network for certain amounts or credit profiles.

Repayment terms, late fees and the effect of missed payments are set by each lender and by state law. Late or missed payments can lead to fees, collection activity and negative reports to credit bureaus. If you have questions about how this disclosure applies to you, contact us through the contact page, and read the terms of use for the rules that govern the website.
